Three Options To Fill
Each base plate features an individual fill port with a twist cap for convenient filling and emptying. Depending on the filling material used, the filled weight can reach approximately 240 lb (109 kg) with water, 360 lb (163 kg) with sand, or up to 430 lb (195 kg) with a sand-and-water mixture.
The fill ports also allow the base to be emptied when needed for storage or repositioning.
Recommended Filling Method
For the highest listed filled weight, follow the supplied filling instructions and add sand first, followed by water as directed. The sand-and-water filling method allows the base to reach up to 430 lb (195 kg) under the specified filling conditions.
Always close and secure the umbrella during windy conditions, strong winds, or severe weather.
Important: In areas where temperatures may fall below freezing, avoid filling the base with water alone. Water expands when frozen and may damage or crack the base.
